Electrolux EL3230A Ergorapido PetCare - Features and Specifications

Electrolux EL3230A Ergorapido Pet are is 2-in-1 stick and handheld vacuum cleaner, designed for cleaning bare floors, carpets, area rugs, stairs, upholstery and other surfaces commonly found at homes and apartments.

Hand vacuum is detachable from the rest of the unit by simple press of the button. Likewise, handheld unit is simply attached to the rest of the unit when the battery is charging or for storage or for vacuuming with the stick vacuum.

This fast conversion between handheld and stick vacuum, combined with motorized brushroll, motorized upholstery tool, lack of power cord, relatively good suction, make Electrolux EL3230A excellent choice for lightweight main vacuum cleaner (important for elderly and for smaller homes and apartments) and for second vacuum cleaner for fast cleanups, especially in emergencies - people with pets and kids will appreciate such unit.

Electrolux EL3230A has very good suction for cordless unit, thanks to the 18V lithium ion battery. Battery offers up to 30-35 minutes of power fade-free operation - operating time depends on the power mode (Normal or Max suction) and used cleaning tool (for example, motorized brushroll or crevice tool).

Fully discharged lithium ion battery requires 4 hours to be fully charged. Perhaps 4 hours appears to be long, but this battery is charged 4x faster than older Ergorapido models with a NiMH battery.

Note: battery is not replaceable, at least not by the user.

Battery monitor displays battery status, allowing the user to clearly see the remaining battery charge.

Unit comes with charging stand, which is used for storing the unit, storing the cleaning attachments and obviously, for charging the unit.

Charger is designed to charge the battery when it is discharged and to keep it charged - there is no need to remove the vacuum from the charger when the battery is fully charged.

Also, charging stand can be placed on the floor, or it can be mounted on the wall.

Note: personally, there is one thing that I don't like about this and similar Electrolux models - crevice tool and dusting brush are stored in the charging stand and the only way to get them is to remove the whole unit from the charging stand. Fortunately, crevice tool and dusting brush can be stored on the handle of the stick part of the unit.

Main cleaning nozzle features powered brushroll, which is designed for cleaning pet hair, dust and other dirt from various floors.

Also, it features patented self-cleaning system, which helps remove hair, fiber, lint and other tangles with the touch of a button/pedal. This system does its job very well, but IMHO, from time to time the user has to remove the brushroll from the nozzle and clean it manually.

Thanks to swivel mechanism, lightweight construction, ergonomic handle, unit is very maneuverable, regardless of the floor type.

Main cleaning nozzle also features strong LED headlights, helping the user to spot and clean the dirt.

Unit is designed to be self-standing - when not in use, it can be left standing on its own. Just keep kids and pets away from it - it is lightweight unit, but can be tipped over easily.

Dust cup is transparent, allowing the user to check type and amount of vacuumed dirt. Since the dust cup is relatively small, it should be emptied after almost every use.

Filtration is achieved using cyclonic action and the use of mechanical air filter. Air filtration is good, but it is not true HEPA vacuum cleaner.

Main air filter is washable, decreasing the overall maintenance costs. After being washed, it should be thoroughly dried - never assemble the unit with wet filter and never use the unit with wet filter or without the filter.

Note: Electrolux EL3230A is simple to use cordless vacuum, but just to be sure, before the very first use, be sure to read the manual thoroughly.

Crevice Tool is designed for cleaning tight and narrow areas and spaces, like between seats and cushions, edges, corners and similar.

Dusting Brush is designed for dusting elevated surfaces, like bookshelves, windowsills and similar.

Motorized Upholstery Pet Hair Tool is the main cleaning tool for stairs, upholstery, smaller carpets and similar. As the motorized brush rotates, it pulls deeply embedded hair and dirt from the surface, while strong air flow removes the dirt into the vacuum. This is not maintenance-free tool and from time to time, the user has to manually remove tangled hair and lint from the brush.
